Playwright

Trudi's is a Rhodesian- born (Zimbabwean) Electronic Dance Musician, whose career began 20 years ago when she signed to a Bristol based Manager. Her strong ties to the trip-hop and UK dance music scenes established Trudi as a freelance vocalist and lyricist. In 2004 she co-produced an intimate solo/self released EP about her Mother who had passed from HIV related disease, which was named that year's Glastonbury Jazz/World Stage Best Emerging Artist and was mentioned on John Peel’s career defining BBC2 “Peel at Glastonbury”highlights show.  With her passion for project development she returned to education studying a diploma in Artistic Development at the British Academy of New Music. Inspired by the teachings and her conversations with her teacher, Trudi began the  journey that is now culminated into T.I.N

JESSICA BECK

DIRECTOR

A British-American audio producer and broadcast journalist for the BBC and NPR. Her audio success is built on a 15-year career as an award-winning theatre director, dramaturg and playwright, specialising in creating original work, formally an Associate of Theatre503 and Artistic Associate of The Bike Shed Theatre. Experience with new musical theatre includes co-creator and director of Terrorist! The Musical (Edinburgh 2005) and director and dramaturg on The Masters of Mystery by Donnelly & Maltby (Marlowe Theatre/Canterbury Festival 2017). Experience with creating autobiographical theatre with performers includes Whiskey Tango Foxtrot by Rebecca Crookshank, winner of Devon Performer of the Year 2016, and multiple award nominations including the Liberty Human Rights Arts Award 2016 and Broadway World UK Awards 2015 for Best Director and Best Production (NYC/UK Tour 2016/Edinburgh 2015) and Normal/Madness by Fiona Geddes (Scottish Tour 2015/Edinburgh 2014).

Katharina is a director and dramaturg who trained at University of Vienna and with StoneCrabs Theatre Company. Directing work includes: Fix (Edinburgh Festival Fringe/Theatre Royal Plymouth/Theatre Royal Stratford East), Ölum ve Kiz/Death and the Maiden (Millfield Theatre, The Arcola Theatre), Every Day (University of Arts Wimbledon), Labels (Edinburgh Festival Fringe/Theatre Royal Stratford East/Adelaide & Perth Fringe/Singapur Fringe/University of North Carolina) - Winner of The Scotsman Fringe First Award, The Holden Street Theatre Award, The Peace Foundation Award, shortlisted for Amnesty Internationals Freedom of Speech Award -,To She or Not to She (Lyric Hammersmith Studio). Katharina is Associate Director of Kidder’s Production Normal/Madness (Edinburgh Fringe 2014/Scotland Tour 2015) as well as a creative associate of Worklight Theatre. Her new show Diary of an Expat  (Paper Smoker’s Theatre) will premiere at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018, Underbelly Cowgate Belly Laugh, 1pm.

A scenographer and visual artist who started her career in theatre and opera. Maya enjoys experimenting with scale and proportions, colours and different materials, light and shadow, observing and trying to create new worlds. Maya's work stands out as beautiful art on its own, but most impressive is her ability to lend her talents to the theatrical development of story, mood boards, costume and stage designing. She is a creator of visual story through the eyes of what others cannot see."

Pete is head of Creative Production at Butch Auntie, an audiovisual company which produces bespoke content for projection, video surfaces and decorative effects. Butch Auntie provides audiovisual shows and video mapping services for all kinds of events. With a large repertoire of themed visuals, they provide bespoke visuals for each event and allow entire environments or stages to be transformed alongside an evening's schedule. They also have a long history of working with musicians, dancers and other acts. Pete is creatively inventive with technology and has an innate understanding of how to communicate musical art through visuals.

SEYMOUR MILTON

PRODUCTION COLLABORATION

Seymour is an experienced composer & sound designer with a passion for creating visceral music that tells a story. Classically trained but experimental at heart, his soundtracks often combine orchestral & electronic elements in fresh & exciting ways. After studying at Goldsmiths’ College, Seymour worked as an assistant engineer at Eastcote Studios where he worked on recording sessions with artists and producers such as Depeche Mode, Suede, Barry Adamson & Atticus Ross. His collaborations with award-winning choreographers James Cousins, Tony Adigun & Ihsan Rustem have been performed at Sadlers Wells & at many other prestigious venues around the world. In February 2018 Seymour graduated from his Masters in Composing for Film & TV at the National Film & Television School.

Tony is a choreographer, director, curator, dancer, educator and mentor with a razor sharp eye for dance composition, musicality and form. His unique dance vocabulary has gained respect from the highest echelons of the dance industry. Tony is the Artistic Director of Avant Garde Dance Company, which is at the forefront of London’s innovative Hip-hop/Contemporary Dance scene. Tony Adigun and his company Avant Garde Dance embody the physical expression of what Trudi feels when she writes her music.

Snezana is a dressmaker who has wealth of experience working in high-quality couture. Having dressed celebrities like Sheri Blaire and designing Anita Dodds wedding Corset for her marriage to Queen guitarist Brian May, Snezana shocked everyone when she traded in all the glamour to become a Mother and discover Face Painting. Now she is the Queen of the Upcycle with a couture flair. Snezana’s unique Croatian, Eastern European influences matched together with her couture experience, and her love of using re-usable materials with a hybrid dystopian air make her perfect for the project.

Owen is a professional photographer with a background in film, post production and studio management, who specialises in creating digital content for creative professionals. His work has been used for social media campaigns, website content, advertising, motion graphics, social profile pictures and album artwork. His expertise with You Tubers, independent brands, boutiques, designers, musicians and artist, is second to none. He enjoys working with client briefs and specifications on commercial projects and has worked with designers and clients closely to realise their vision. A longtime collaborator of Trudi's, he is the man responsible for first bringing Dauria and Lalek to life!

SPIROS MAUS

Composer / Engineer

Spiros is a songwriter, music producer, and composer whose strength is setting up musical projects from scratch and seeing it through from start to finish.  Spiros was educated in sound engineering and music technology (recording-mixing) and has Bachelor in sound design and mastering. Not satisfied with simply the technical side Spiros is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and has a degree in drums from Modern Music School. Spiros comes to T.I.N as a co-writer, teacher, and musical and technical interpreter for demos with Trudi.

Bob Matthews is a producer who has spent the bulk of his career, so far, as one half of electronic soul-pop duo Alpines, touring with and remixing the likes of The xx, Florence + The Machine, and Lana Del Rey. A collaboration with Sub Focus on ’Tidal Wave’ brought chart success, reaching #11 in the UK. After learning from producers like Grammy-winner Craig Silvey (The Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Anna Calvi) Bob has more recently branched out into producing other acts, and has a solo album on the way; an instrumental electronica concept album about climate change.

Since the demise of CITIZENS! in 2016 Lawrence has been writing and producing for emerging artists as well as releasing music under his own LNLY moniker.
