ELSAINE

Elsiane is a trip-hop and downbeat Canadian band composed of Peruvian born Elsieanne Caplette and Stephane Sotto.

Elsaine is probably the least known artists of all the artists that inspire me. Their Hybrid album which is a mix of jazz, downtempo, rock, classical and electronic music really took me to another place. Though its downbeat the songs still groove and singer Elsieanne's otherworldly voice makes me feel like I am being told ancient secrets. 

When writing for certain characters in the play, I keep Elsaine in mind to give them same ethereal tone.
